Charity of the Year Donation

Our Charity of the Year for 2022 was the the Shooting Star Children’s Hospices. Money was raised at a number of tennis events throughout the year that resulted in a grand total of £2,614.58. Last week our former chair Paul Snell presented the charity with a cheque which they were delighted to receive.

Many individuals were involved in this tremendous fund-raising achievement. However a special mention needs to made for James, our ‘resident chef’ who did not charge for either the BBQ or Christmas meal. This extremely generous gesture resulted in us being able to put £1,947 towards the hospice charity.
