Adult Beginners/Improvers Courses 2018
Our next Beginners/Improvers 5 week course runs from Tuesday 28th August. Timings are from 7:30 – 9:00pm. Please contact Duncan at firstname.lastname@example.org to register your interest.
There is a general theme for each week, although the exact structure will depend on people’s levels as seen on the first week. As a guide:
- Week 1 covers forehands
- Week 2 covers backhands
- Week 3 covers volleys and smashes
- Week 4 covers linking shots and aiming
- Week 5 introduces matchplay and basic tactics
Serving is covered in each week, being such an important aspect of play.
The general aim of the course is to introduce people to basics of technique, implementing these techniques into first rallies and then points. At the end of the course the aim is that most people will be able to play matches with confidence.
View some basics on how to play the game at the LTA website.
A range of sessions are available for ages 3 through to 16. We are also able to set private groups (minimum of four players) – please email to discuss timings and costs.
Tennis Camps take place at the Club during school Half Term and Holidays. Further information is displayed in the Junior’s section.
