Ashford LTC are running 4 Men’s teams this winter in the Surrey league plus 2 teams in the Woking league. The 1st team squad also play in the Aegon National League and compete in the Surrey Knockout Cup.
Surrey league matches are played at weekends (usually Sunday morning). Teams are made up of two pairs, who play both the opponents pairs in a four rubber match. If an individual match is tied one set all, a champions tie-break is played to decide the winner.
Woking league matches are played midweek and only different in format to Surrey in that no tie breaker is played should a rubber end one set all. Points are awarded based on number of sets won.
Team practice takes place on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 7:00pm.
All club players are welcome to register their interest in playing team matches – and will be assigned to one of our squads for the relevant team captain to contact.
