Sunday saw another running of the popular Multi Format Tournament on a glorious sunny afternoon.
The four teams of 6 were given names of modern British tennis player: Konta, Murray, Edmund and Watson. There was the usual good mix of improvers and full members.
Each round was based on a format of tennis played throughout history. A 3-aside round based on a game called ‘Unicorn’ proved most popular (and most confusing!)
Team Murray looked in a very strong position after 3 rounds when play was paused for tea and cakes.
The last round – a championship tie break – left the final scores very close between Konta and Edmund for second place but Murray were the comfortable winners. Congratulations to the winning team members: Rosemary, Jill, William, Priya, Janet & Michael.
Thanks to Keith for organising and running the rounds; Kevin for arranging/promoting the event plus tea makers Pauline and others..!
