Ladies Day

Another very successful ‘Ladies Day’ was held on Bank Holiday Monday with 18 ladies taking part.

It was good to see such a cross section of the club, ie from beginners up to first team players, together with potential new members.

The games were organised to give everyone the opportunity to mix with as many different people as possible and in order to make newcomers welcome.

There was a fine selection of home – made cakes for tea, together with a short quiz and a raffle with unusual prizes. Everyone left with a small gift and even the weather gave it’s best, making it a great day for all.

This has proved to be a positive way to welcome new members and for them to get to know a few more people in the club in a fun situation where there is no pressure on the standard of play.

Thanks to all of those who helped with the ‘bake off’, washing up, and socialising which really does help to integrate new members and make them a part of our very friendly club.

Many thanks especially to Mary for organising this event. See photos below.
