REMINDER ABOUT PLAY-BY DATES

Please note that there is a date at the top of each column of fixtures.

This is not a "Phone opponent(s) by" date, nor the "start to think about arranging match" date, or even the "contact opponent only to find they are in Outer Mongolia for 2 weeks" date!

This is the date that all matches from that round should be completed by.

Please do not leave it until the last minute to try and arrange your matches, especially over the holiday period when many people are away.  Contacting the tournament committee on the Sunday a match is due to be completed, to complain you have just phoned your opponent and they are away so can you have a deadline extension, is likely to see both players/pairs scratched.

Please try and arrange your matches as soon as you know who your opponents are, and in the event of no dates being available in the entire 3 or 4 week play-by period, contact the tournament committee.
