Match played Sunday 25th July
The Ladies 2nd team managed to improve their record for this summer by actually WINNING a match! Mary C and Sarah K managed to beat both pairs - Sarah attempted several overhead shots in one game but she discovered she was not as tall as she thought she was but then realised that Mary was covering her and managing to get the ball back into play which totally confused the opposition who then did a couple of shots into the net!
However, with the next pair Sarah was running round the court at the speed of light and we managed to beat both pairs with no tie-breaks. Sue C and Emily D narrowly missed beating the second pair but had a good win over the first pair giving us an overall win of 3-1.
A very enjoyable match, followed by a very sociable lunch with a really nice people.
