Ashford Lawn Tennis Club Coaching Team
 STEPHEN SAVAGE (HEAD COACH)
Steve was a former full time player on the David Lloyd Squad, and has won a number of county titles, and represented his county at senior level. Currently he is playing competitively in the Surrey Leagues and is currently rated 3.2.
Over the years Steve has worked with a number of National and County players.
He is a LTA Senior Performance (Level 4) Licensed Coach.
Steve is responsible for coaching programme at ALTC. He works with the juniors and adults of all ages and standard at the club.
 RACHEL BANKS (ASSISTANT COACH)
Rachel has been playing at Ashford since the age of eleven. In her junior years she was Ashford Junior club champion. Now she is one of the clubs top female players reaching the final of the Ladies Singles and Doubles last year, and regularly plays as No.1 pairing in the first team. She is PTR qualified and has been part of the coaching team for 6 years.
Rachel works with the juniors and with the Mini Performance Squads.
 RICHARD VARLEY (ASSISTANT COACH)
Richard, previous junior club champion is now one of the top male players in the club playing in the men’s first team. He is PTR qualified and has been part of the coaching team for 5 years.
Richard works with the juniors in the club.
 ROBERT RINGSHAW (ASSISTANT COACH)
Robert is one of the top players in the club playing in the men’s first team, also as a junior he was club champion. He is PTR qualified and has been part of the coaching team for 4 years.
Robert works with the juniors in the club.

 Steve runs an on site pro shop where he is able to offer professional advice on rackets, shoes, clothing, restrings, and accessories. All the major brands are stocked such as

Restring Service
Restrings start from £15 and are professionally strung on an electronic machine to ensure quality and accuracy throughout the restring by Steve who has 18 years experience. Over 10 different types of strings in stock, so Steve will be able to advise the correct string for your level and style of play.
Also available is the Fully Automatic Dynamic Stringing Test System. This system helps test whether a major tension loss has occurred therefore not allowing you to get the most out of your racket. This service is provided free of charge.
Restrings turned around within 24 hrs (subject to grommet or special string requests not having to be ordered). Rackets needed within a shorter period can be done subject to time available. If Steve is in the office during social and you break a string he will do his best to have your racket strung by the end of social.
