It’s an historic day on Monday 12th September when work begins on the new courts.

AMB Sports are the contractors and will begin removing the existing surface to prepare for a new tarmac base. This will take approx. 4 weeks and they will leave us with 3 tarmac courts with white lines for the winter. The new courts should be playable by 1st November subject to weather conditions. We are also installing a concrete root barrier on Court 9 and a membrane root barrier on Court 6 in about 2 weeks which will mean these courts will be out of action for 2 days.

In May next year we plan to lay the artificial clay carpet which will complete the project. This will take about a week and the courts will be playable immediately. The shale courts will close this Saturday evening as we will need to prepare for the works on Sunday.

PLEASE BE CAREFUL AS YOU ENTER THE SITE WHILST THE WORKS ARE IN PROGRESS AS THERE WILL BE VEHICLES AND WORKMEN OPERATING IN THE FRONT CAR PARK
